Associations
Associations are bodies formed to represent the interests of specific student groups within the University. They generally provide social activities, welfare support and representation. If you fall within the target group of an association, then you are automatically a member of that group! Bonus!
The Nottingham based associations for Healthcare students are
MED Soc : Medicine Society
- Despite its name Med Soc is an association and is based at the Medical School in the QMC
NAMA: Nursing And Midwifery Association
- NAMA is an association for the University of Nottingham Nursing and Midwifery students (on all courses) based at the QMC and at the Nottingham City Hospital
Nurse Soc: Nursing Society
- Nurse Soc is not an assocaiton but a new society established at the end of last year for QMC based nursing students on the degree course
Physio Soc: Physiotherapy Society
- We are an association (despite our name) and we are here for the University of Nottingham Physiotherapy students. We are based at the Nottingham City Hospital in the Clinical Sciences Building
