The Executive

Your Students’ Union is truly student-run. The Executive Committee consists of 13 elected officers, 8 have finished their degree or taking a sandwich year, 5 are part-time and carrying on with their studies. The Exec is elected in a university-wide election each spring. Your Union proudly boast the biggest election turn-out in the UK for the past two years running. Any student within the university is eligible to stand for an executive position.

Our job is to ensure fair governing within the Student Union, the effective representation of Students to the University and the provision of services, both commercial and non-commercial for the benefit of our members.

All members of the Students' Union are welcome to attend meetings as observers and may request speaking rights at the discretion of the Committee. Meetings take place within Committee Room 1, Portland Building, please email Gavin Todd-James - Democracy and Communications Officer to find out when this weeks meeting will take place.
